It's inevitable but yes I share your sentiment. I cringe at articles and writings that are obvious AI generated. But we can only be spectators and mindful consumers. It's sad that it's affecting people's livelihoods and environment.
Agree! Yeah, the best we can do is try to change the conversation and futureproof our careers, I guess. I was really shocked and saddened by the article from The Guardian -- his futureproofing of his career, going along with the AI wave, is actually going to lead to his eventual joblessness. :( But for now, it pays the bills, right?
Been ghostwriting for two years and AI has definitely taken over. Clients (at least those who need ghostwriters) prefer it more, no doubt. Most of the orders available now are for humanizing AI books. Not that the books are bad, but it's just kind of sad. I guess if you're looking at it solely as a job/source of income (which I try to do), the work definitely is easier and you do earn more because the TAT is faster. But, i don't know, AI made everything dull.
Oooh thanks for this additional insight, Nam! And I'm glad that at least there is a niche where jobs are generated by the AI wave.
Aligned as well with what I read, that it's strange that instead of using AI to optimize repetitive human tasks, it's us who will "humanize" AI's output. And agree, AI-generated stuff is so dull!
I see this a lot too! As a freelance SEO writer, it makes me wonder as well how clients/strategists will pivot and how that would affect SEO-related projects and opportunities. Not to mention the possible misinformation -- are people even fact-checking these AI search results?

Someone has to say it! Grateful for this article and will link to it when I post some of my thoughts ;) Appreciate all these perspectives.
Thank you for reading, Shayna! :) I'm glad it inspired you to write something, too.
Yes! Still getting acquainted with your writing but I love it so far 🤪😘
Oh that is the compliment of compliments. 💜 Thank you so much!

I try to avoid using AI too, but lately my Google searches display AI info related to my search before listing the results. So frustrating.

I saw an article that pointed out wrong AI results. I can’t remember what it was but it had to do with the freezing point of water lol
